About

Ryan GÜT

Ryan Güt is a renowned drummer and multi-instrumentalist whose dynamic style and unrelenting groove have made him a mainstay in the global rock scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Güt has collaborated with some of the most influential figures in desert rock, including Brant Bjork, Nick Oliveri, and Mario Lalli, and was a founding member of Stöner alongside Bjork and Oliveri. Güt has toured extensively across North America, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, performing on critically acclaimed albums like totally… and Hittin’ the Bitchin’ Switch (Stöner), Folklore From the Other Desert Cities (Mario Lalli & the Rubber Snake Charmers), and Tao of the Devil and Once Upon A Time In The Desert (Brant Bjork), earning praise for his loose, yet powerful swing behind the kit.

In his latest venture, he took to the studio solo, performing all instruments and vocals, and producing the debut album titled The Shastafarian. Recorded at the Coachella Valley’s Church Studios with engineer and co-producer Brian Moore (Dirty Honey, Noise Agents, and Mike Green), the album blends the journey of his life and musical career, drawing inspiration from both Northern California, which shaped him in his early life, and the California desert, birthplace of the desert rock music genre that he has cemented his name in for more than a decade.

Whether powering through fuzz-laden riffs or adding finesse to intricate arrangements, Güt’s artistry embodies the spirit of raw, unfiltered rock 'n' roll and beyond.
